NLP and Personal Training

If you are a personal trainer or just want to get into better shape you can use NLP techniques to help you do this better, faster, and easier.  NLP is a very powerful technology with lots of techniques.  But you only need to find a few that work for you and put them to work with personal training.

One of the first techniques to use to get into better shape is visualization and NLP hypnosis.  To use NLP hypnosis you can use story telling to motivate someone and keep them on track.

Another technique is using sub modalities.  Have you or your client picture in their mind what their ideal in shape self looks like.  Now have them make that picture even more vivid in their minds eye.  Make it bright, bold, and colorful.

One of the best NLP techniques to use with personal training is modeling.  Find someone who has gotten in shape and stayed in shape.  Ask them how they did it, what exercises they did, what food they ate.  But more importantly ask what their mindset was, what things they would say to themselves when things got hard, and what they used for motivation.

By finding out how to use your mind more effectively (i.e. by modeling successful people) you can make personal training more successful and allow yourself to get better results faster.
