Bodybuilding and NLP

Bodybuilding and NLP can be a powerful combination when used together. NLP offers many techniques that aspiring bodybuilders can use to beat the competition.  From anchoring techniques, the use of mirroring, to the use of hypnosis, if you get creative enough you can come up with dozens of ways to use NLP in this sport.

One powerful technique that many bodybuilders already use is modeling.  Finding what successful bodybuilders are doing and do the same.  But you can take this further and find out what their mindset is when they enter the gym and what they are thinking about before they take the competition stage.

By finding out the mindset of champions you can save yourself a lot of frustration in the learning process and skip many pitfalls other bodybuilders fall into.

Another powerful technique you can use is anchoring.  Right before a big lift or going on stage it would be could to get an extra boost of confidence instantly without have to think about it.

This is possible with the anchoring technique.  If you anchor feelings of when you felt confident in the past to the anchor of touching your thumb and middle finger together then you can fire of this anchor anytime you want to for a boost of self confidence.

These are just two techniques I have described.  With a little imagination bodybuilding and NLP can be a powerful combination to lead you past the rank and file bodybuilders in your local gym.
